Lions Club of Bengaluru Kings welcomes new president

Bengaluru, NT Bureau: The new president of the Lions Club of Bengaluru Kings Umesh Chandra was welcomed and additional activities were inaugurated on Thursday. Umesh was elected as the president of the International Lions Club district 317a, province five, and zone two for the 2024- 25 year.

The event was held at the Hotel Kadamba Samrat Hall in Vijayanagar locality of Bengaluru. Congress MLA from Vijayangar M Krishnappa was the chief guest on the occasion.

Former Vice Chancellor of several prestigious universities like Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) Chandrashekhar Shetty inaugurated the programme.

Also present on the occasion were Lions Club district Cabinet Additional Secretary Dr Shashidhar Ganjigatti, provincial president Milan Jadhav, host committee Madhura Ashok, charter president Niranjan, among others.

On the occasion, sewing machines were handed over to women in need and excellence awards were distributed to students who scored high marks in SSLC in the previous year.
