H D Kumaraswamy to inaugurate IOACON in Bengaluru tomorrow

The Karnataka Orthopaedic Association (KOA) is hosting the 69th Annual Conference of the Indian Orthopaedic Association (IOACON 2024) from December 2 to 7 at Bengaluru Palace. Speaking at a press conference on Monday, HS Chandrashekar, Organising Chairman of KOA, said this year's theme is "Enhancing Skills, Optimising Care." Ajit Kumar M, Organising Secretary, mentioned that the conference is being held in the city after a gap of 16 years. “We organise the conference in different cities each year; it was last held in Bengaluru in 2008, and last year, it took place in Lucknow,” he said.
The conference is expected to attract 6,000 to 8,000 delegates from across India and abroad, he added. Bharat Raju G, Organising Treasurer, stated that the event will be inaugurated on December 4 at 5.30 pm by Union Minister H D Kumaraswamy, and Sharan Prakash Patil, Minister of Medical Education, Government of Karnataka.
