A shocking incident of animal cruelty in Bengaluru has gone viral on social media, where a man was seen driving a car with three of his pet dogs perched on the roof. The footage, which quickly spread online, sparked outrage among netizens. Following the viral video, police arrested the man, 38-year-old Harish, a hairdresser from Chikamuniyappa Layout in Chelekere, near Kalyan Nagar. Further investigation revealed that Harish had a fake “PRESS” sticker on his car, along with the slogan Hari Likes Risk displayed prominently. This reflected his reckless attitude as he drove around the city, endangering his pets. One of the dogs on the roof was identified as a Shih Tzu.

On December 3, Harish was seen driving with two passengers while playing loud music. When another driver pointed out the danger to the dogs, Harish responded insultingly, telling them to mind their own business. The Society for Animal Safety (SAS) filed a complaint, citing not only the distress caused to the animals but also the risk to public safety. Harish has been charged under Section 351(2) (criminal intimidation) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act. Harish admitted that he had put the dogs on the roof to 'show off''.
