The Marathahalli police are investigating the suicide case of techie Atul Subhash, who was found dead at his residence in Manjunath Layout. A death note left by Atul alleged that his wife, Nikita, her mother, and her brother were responsible for his death. This prompted the police to launch an extensive search for the accused in Uttar Pradesh. Atul reportedly took his life three days ago, leaving behind a note accusing his wife and in-laws of mental harassment. Acting on these allegations, the Marathahalli police detained two individuals in Uttar Pradesh for questioning.
However, Nikita, the primary accused, has evaded capture. Nikita, upon learning about the Bengaluru police’s presence in Uttar Pradesh, fled her residence, switched off her mobile phone, and remains unreachable. In collaboration with local police, officers visited her residence, attaching a notice and an FIR at her doorstep. The notice mandates Nikita’s appearance for questioning within three days. Failure to comply may result in her arrest and subsequent transfer to Bengaluru for further investigation. The police are prepared to take strict action if Nikita continues to abscond.
