Covid + CM to work from home for next one week

Bengaluru: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai who has tested positive for Covid, and is under home quarantine, will work from home for the next one week.

Acccording to sources, the CM has been advised seven-day home quarantine which he would do at his RT Nagar residence. On Tuesday, Bommai, his son, Bharath Bommai and his daughter-in-law, who had tested positive, went to a private hospital for a check-up and later returned home.

The CM was expected toy stay in hospital for the next seven days. But, doctors who examined Bommai allowed him to undergo home quarantine because of mild symptoms. The CM will work from home till next Tuesday.

Soon after he returned home, the CM held a virtual meeting with health experts, ministers and others to take stock of the situation in view of the surge in Corona cases. He will hold meetings of various departments from home till he complete his quarantine.

Close on the heels of Bommai testing positive, the CM’s staff underwent the RT-PCR test but all of them tested negative. Bommai had tested positive and underwent home quarantine last year too during the second wave of the pandemic.
