The programme was launched by Hemanth, unit president of KGLU (ITI) unit. Clifton D’ Rozario State President, AICCTU stated that the protest was also historic, and the support of social activists would give the comrades the strength to continue their struggle to ensure their basic rights. Social activist Medha Patkar addressed the workers and congratulated them on the 45th day of protest. She said that this is a public sector undertaking which is required to fill the public treasury. But unfortunately, this is being done by stealing from and exploiting contract workers.
