Nigerian held for murder

Bengaluru: An African national has been arrested for killing the person in-charge of the rented house where he was staying on the Old Madras Road. The accused had not paid rent for the last three months and the victim was demanding for it. As the rent was not paid, the victim got the house vacated and kept the household items with him. Frustrated over this, the accused killed the victim by smashing his head to the door frame.

The accused has been identified as Daniel Chinagro Ala So alias Boby, 36, from Nigeria. He was staying in a rented house at Mallimakanapura on the Old Madras Road. The victim has been identified as H Shivakumar, 38, also a resident of Mallimakanapura. Boby came to India 10 years ago on tourist visa and was staying at a rented house owned by Renukamma.

Kumar was in-charge of the building. On Monday, around 4 pm, the accused went to the victim’s house and demanded his refrigerator. They got into a fight that led to the murder of Shivakumar. Later he took shelter in Avalahally and was arrested by the police.
