Electric bikes for healthcare workers
Bengaluru: Rotary Bangalore Rajmahal Vilas, Rotary HSR and iValue infoSolutions on Friday donated 12 ‘E-Sanjeevini’ electric two wheelers for mobile medical services to Urban Primary Health Centres of BBMP’s East zone.
Earlier, the Rotary Bangalore Rajmahal Vilas had donated 2 ‘E-Sanjeevini’ electric two-wheelers to Urban Primary Health Centre in Sanjay Nagar ward as a pilot project. After its success, the club has has donated 12 more such vehicles to Urban Primary Health Centres in east zone of BBMP.
Addressing the event, Byrathi Suresh, MLA, recalled the services rendered by Rotary Bangalore Rajmahal Vilas during the Covid-19, when it worked along with the BBMP. Today, it has extended its ‘e-sanjeevini’ project to the UPHCs in the East zone of BBMP. The social work being done by the organization is laudable, he added. In his address, BBMP Chief Commissioner Gaurav Gupta said that, the ‘e-sanjeevini’ project which was started in Sanjay Nagar UPHC, in order to provide medical service to the needy in quick manner, has now been extended to the UPHCs in Hebbal, Pulakeshinagar and Shivajinagar in east zone.
