Habitual offender arrested again

This 23-year-old habitual offender was rescued last year from a well by the police when he tried to escape from their clutches.
The incident had happened in Tamil Nadu, and he was brought to the city where he underwent a jail sentence. However, he returned to crime after his release.
To his bad luck, he along with his associate have been arrested again and jailed. The accused have been identified as Z Mazar alias Babla, 23 and Syed Maaz alias Bond alias Maaz, 21, both residents of Venkateshapura.
Mazar was arrested by the city police last year in a chain snatching case. When the police took him to Tamil Nadu to recover a chain from the receiver, he tried to escape but fell in an open well.
A police constable, who was part of the team, had jumped inside the well and had rescued him. Later Mazar was brought back to the city and was remanded to judicial custody.
Mazar was released from jail recently. However, he resumed robbing people along with his associate Syed Maaz.
“On February 18, the accused duo had threatened Addu, at his provisions store in Vinoba Nagar. A video in this regard had gone viral,” said a police officer.
After the arrest, the police found that Mazar had 23 grams of MDMA drugs, worth Rs 1.3 lakh, in his possession. The HG Halli police have registered a case.
