Husband of ex-corporator traced in Varanasi

Bengaluru: Bengaluru police successfully tracked the husband of a former JD(S) corporator of Binnypet ward, who had gone missing on March 29.
Bengaluru police tracked down Lohit, 36, in Varanasi on Wednesday afternoon. Nandagudi police said that they were informed about Lohit from their sources in Varanasi.
On March 29, Lohit left his house informing his wife Aishwarya that he has to pay salaries to workers. According to sources, he had rented a place near Nandagudi where he used to organise bikes and car races.
Soon after he went missing, Lohit’s wife filed a missing complaint. Police officials investigating the case found Lohit’s car, which reportedly had got punctured, near Nandagudi village.
The police said that the last phone call Lohit made was to his home to inform that his car had got punctured near Nandagudi. After that his mobile phone was switched off.
A team of police personnel had found blood stains in the abandoned car. Further, Lohit’s slippers and belt were found near a temple situated a little further from where his car was parked.
The police said that they are expected to bring Lohit to Nandagudi Police Station by Wednesday night.
