Bengaluru University to mark Ambedkar Jayanthi

Bengaluru: Bengaluru University (BU) will be observing Ambedkar Jayanthi by holding a programme at the campus in Bengaluru on Thursday.

“Bengaluru University will be holding BR Ambedkar’s 131st birth anniversary celebrations at 9:30 am on 14-4-2022 in a simple and sober manner inside the campus,” a BU statement read. 

“In this programme, the honourable Vice Chancellor KR Venugopal will be garlanding a statue of Babasaheb and by extension honouring his constitution,” the statement added. Students, teachers and non-teaching staff from various departments will also be participating in the celebrations, the university said.
