Active cases cross 3,000

Bengaluru: The BBMP recorded a total of 494 new cases of Covid-19 in Bengaluru on Friday. The total number of active cases in the city now stands at 3,061 with a positivity rate of 2.31% (for the last seven days).

On Friday, the city added a new cluster taking the number of active clusters in BBMP limits to 12. The new cluster is in Dasarahalli zone, while all the others are in Mahadevapura.

A total of 16,989 tests were conducted on June 10. According to the BBMP, 209 patients have recovered from the infection during the same period.

Around 1,074 children, aged between 12 and 14, got their first dose and 1,489 children in the same age group were given the second dose. In the 15-18 years’ group, 129 got the first and 650 got the second dose of Covid vaccination. Precautionary doses were given to 4,552 people
