It was a dream come true for Mithilesh and Mohammed Salman. The 14-yearold boys, who are undergoing treatment at Kidwai Hospital and Narayana Hrudayalaya in the city for chronic illnesses, fulfilled their dreams of ‘becoming police officers’, albeit for a few hours, on Thursday, thanks to the Bengaluru Police.

Hosur-resident Mithilesh and Keralanative Salman put on the police uniforms, received a salute from officials and even sat in the senior inspector’s chair at Koramangala Police Station. The children got the rare opportunity after CK Baba, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Bengaluru South-East) came to know about their wishes.

DCP Baba told News Trail that “The smile on the faces of these children on being able to fulfil their wishes brought utmost satisfaction to all of us.” The wishes of the children were fulfilled by the joint efforts of the police department and Make a Wish Foundation.
