Bengaluru: ‘A picture is worth a thousand words’ goes an adage, and Frozen Memories – a three-day photo exhibition that began at Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath in Bengaluru on Thursday lives up to it.

The exhibition, inaugurated by Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, displays a wide collection of photographs curated by the Photojournalists Association of Bangalore.

The colour and black-and-white photos depict some politically significant and light-hearted moments captured by nimble-fingered lensmen. The photographs displayed ranged from the grim Covid crisis to eye-catching blooming of Neelakurinji in the Western Ghats. Aijaz Rahi of Associated Press spoke about his experience snapping ‘Charles:

In Charge’ snap. “I just happened to be at the right place at the right time to snap Prince Charles at the opening of Commonwealth Games 2022 held in Birmingham,” he observed. The works of lensmen from Deccan Herald, The New Indian Express, News Trail, Ee Sanje, Happy Health, Kannada Prabha , Rajasthan Patrika and many freelancers were on display at the exhibition.
