US-based Kannadiga Adarsh Iyengar’s latest music video Hope is gaining immense popularity in the days after its release. Like most of his earlier musical singles, Adarsh has picked up a social message to go with the song. It talks about vitiligo , which is still a taboo for many Indians. The rock-classical single has not surprisingly become the most-talked about private songs recently.

“Hope aims to show the inequalities in the society by taking vitiligo disability as an example. This musical single is our way to show our audience and society that none of the folks deserve to be mistreated because of any sort of disability they have,” Adarsh said. Adarsh’s earlier music videos had also shown similar social concern.

His earlier singles, Soldier, Forever and My Friend had similar messages. “The reason this particular topic of Vitiligo was chosen is because I have seen many of them with this disability in my close circle. I have realized how hard it is for them to deal with society and handle this on a dayto-day basis. Bringing awareness through our content has always been the goal of our production house,” said Adarsh.

Hope, like all his previous videos were made under the Srikrishna Productions. The video recently crossed a million views on his online channel. Adarsh works as a senior manager at Walmart and dedicates most of his spare time to music videos.

Rakshit Teerthahalli has directed Hope. Before moving to the US, Adarsha led a band in Bengaluru called the Swar Aalap. He has already lined up another music video ‘Quit’ which will talk about drug addiction. “We have tried to keep it raw and real. We want to show what can happen if one gets addicted to drugs and the consequences with some entertainment and twists.
