Bengaluru:
Aaspada Artspace opened to the public a curated art exhibition titled Elliyu Nilladiru, which showcased the work of seven young artists Vinayaka Katenahalli, Mallikasab Nadaf, Nagaraj Hallada, Ishwarayya Mathapati, Vivek RM, Santosh Pattar and Bharath Laddiyavar organized by Pradeep DM.
“The nature of the exhibition is the idea of bringing together seven people to create works of art in different dimensions of art and spreading the scope of art step by step from village to city, from city to state, from state to nation like water that flows non-stop in one space of the art field.
Even if the source of art cannot be touched, everyone's desire is to move on that path,” says Pradeep DM about the exhibition. The show is named after a song by poet Kuvempu who famously sang "O my spirit become you Aniketana. Do not stop anywhere, do not build a home, do not touch the last, O be infinite, O my spirit then you are Aniketan".
“While these seven people were practicing art at Bengaluru University, they got through various kinds of change in their work, and half of them involved themselves in art activities in the city apart from the college. They used to visit the studio of many contemporary artists and discuss the changes in their artworks and show their artworks to each other and discuss them with each other.
Constantly going to art galleries, involving themselves in art dialogues, they were convinced of the art and the happenings of the field directly,” explains Pradeep. The exhibition will end on November 17.
