Bengaluru:
In a shocking incident, the body of an unidentified person was found inside the premises of a waste paper recycling unit near Machohalli in the city. According to sources, the matter was reported to the police on Tuesday morning by the workers of the unit who had noticed a dead body lying inside the premises.
The police inspected the spot but could not identify the body. However, the preliminary probe revealed that the person, estimated to be around 30-35 years of age, had entered the building premises last night along with a gang of friends carrying a few bottles of alcohol. The workers of the unit, who used to sleep on the third floor of the same building, had reportedly seen them.
“The person was seen drinking alcohol along with 7-8 of his friends inside the premises. When the workers had asked them not to drink here, the gang had told them that they will not disturb them and will go away after some time,” an officer from Madanayakanahalli said.
The police suspected that there was a drunken brawl between the friends over an issue that resulted in the murder of the person. The police have reportedly found several marks of injuries all over the body. The police said that the cause of the incident and the identity of the murdered person have not been ascertained yet. Further investigation is underway
