Passenger bag stolen at B’luru airport

Bengaluru:

Airport officials often point out that even expensive items do not get stolen because of heavy surveillance, security cameras and the presence of strict personnel across the terminals. However, a recent case has left the passengers of Kempegowda International Airport (KIAL) concerned about their baggage’s safety.

On November 14, a passenger was shocked when he found his laptop bag missing from the KIAL terminal from where he had left it before going to the washroom. Bhavit Goyal, a resident of Koramangala, was to travel to Chandigarh but missed his flight as he reached the airport late. He claimed to have gone inside the washroom, leaving his laptop bag outside the terminal.

However, he couldn’t find it when he returned. A case has been filed at the airport police station regarding the incident. The police said that they are checking the CCTV footage and are investigating the case.
