15-yr-old crushed under BMTC bus

In yet another tragic incident involving a BMTC bus, a 15-year old girl was killed on the spot after the speeding bus knocked down the two-wheeler on which she was riding pillion. The deceased was identified as Lavyashree. The incident took place on Tuesday morning when Lavyashree and her younger brother, Yashwin, were riding with their mother, Priyadarshini, to their school. Police said that the bus on its route from TC Palya to Bhattarahalli allegedly knocked their scooter causing the three to fall down. However after the driver failed to apply the brakes, Lavyashree was crushed under the rear wheels and died on the spot.
