Bengaluru:

Chaos prevailed outside a private hospital in the city, where a 24-year-old woman died after an alleged drug overdose on Wednesday. Kavitha, who reportedly was suffering from pneumonia, was admitted to Chiraayu Hospital in RT Nagar by her husband, Sunil, and her parents recently. However, after a few days of treatment, she was declared dead by the doctors.

Shocked by Kavitha’s death, Sunil and his relatives protested outside the hospital, accusing the doctors of administering an overdose of medicines that led to her death. According to sources from the family, the couple had been married for seven months and Kavitha was reportedly one month pregnant when she died.

Sunil and his family had sought health summary reports from the hospital regarding Kavitha’s death, in which the hospital reportedly mentioned that Kavitha had tested positive for Covid-19 besides several other health issues, including heart ailments and dengue. Meanwhile, the family has refused to accept the hospital reports and has stepped up to file a complaint against the doctors.
