Depressed over techie’s extramarital affair, wife hangs self

Depressed over her husband’s extramarital affair, a 27-year-old woman committed suicide by hanging herself at her residence in Ramamurthy Nagar. The parents of the deceased woman have now registered a complaint against the husband. The deceased woman, identified as Shwetha, was married to Abhishek eleven months ago. While Shwetha was an employee of IBM, Abhishek had been working at TCS here, sources said.

It is alleged that Abhishek was in a relationship with a woman before his marriage. However, Shwetha allegedly found that he had been continuing the relationship even after his marriage. As the couple was often found quarreling over the issue, the parents of both Shwetha and Abhishek recently intervened and attempted to reconcile the couple.

Despite all this, when Abhishek was a g ain caught contacting his girlfriend, Shwetha got depressed and committed suicide, as her parents allege in their complaint to the police. The jurisdictional police are now interrogating Abhishek based on the complaint.
