BMRCL app to help book autos, cabs

Bengaluru: The Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) is now coming up with an app through which commuters can book an auto rickshaw or a cab along with Namma Metro ticket through their phones. The app is still in the infant stages and a fullfledged roll out will happen after a few months.

The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH (GIZ) has been working on the application as a pilot project. The same has been confirmed by V Manjula, Commissioner of Directorate of Urban Land Transport (DULT).

The application is going to facilitate the use of different modes of transport without the hassle of multiple payments or the usage of multiple applications. The metro has made its requirements clear to the developers and various perspectives are being looked a
