Koramangala flyover will be up and ready in a year: BBMP
The project which commenced about five years ago, came to a grinding halt for over two years due to the bankruptcy of contractor and consequent legal wrangle

Bengaluru: A meeting was conducted by the resident’s welfare association (RWA) of the S.T. Bed, Cauvery Colony, Ejipura, Bengaluru, with the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike to discuss the Ejipura flyover and link road projects which have been lying stalled for several years.
The meeting was attended by the Joint Commissioner BBMP South, CE Project South and engineers concerned with the flyover project. S T BED residents welfare association residents and BBMP officials discussed that new officers will be assigned to see the completion of the flyover work.
BBMP authorities said that they will start a fresh tendering process. In order to solve problems related to land acquisition, a new authority will be established, and it was also mentioned that Rs 145 cr fund will be availed for the flyover project , while another Rs 35 cr will be allotted for land acquisition compensation.
The BBMP officials also mentioned that the flyover will be completed in the next 12 months and a tentative date of February 2024 was put up. They informed that no more trees will be cut for the projects and BBMP will ensure environment protection.
Many residents raised the issue of uncontrolled traffic and the blockage caused at Poorvika, and in order to address the issue the residents have asked the Traffic Department to participate in these RWA meetings to come up with a solution for traffic that builds up during rush hours.
They also requested that new fresh tenders be put in hold till the completion of the work from the previous ones.
