Bengaluru: The Karnataka government has planned to establish hi-tech Panchakarma treatment facilities in four divisions of the state, announced Health Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao. He was speaking at the inauguration of newly upgraded hi-tech Panchakarma rooms at Bangalore Ayurvedic College. The minister emphasised that Ayurveda plays a crucial role in preventive healthcare, helping people adopt a healthier lifestyle and avoid diseases.

To make Ayurvedic treatment more accessible, the government has proposed setting up five-bed Panchakarma treatment units in taluk hospitals and tenbed units in district hospitals. During the event, Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar praised the significant progress made by the health department and commended Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao for his efforts. He inaugurated the new men’s hostel and the hi-tech Panchakarma rooms, which were upgraded at a cost of Rs 296 lakh under the National AYUSH Mission.

The 18 modern Panchakarma rooms are equipped with advanced facilities to provide high-quality Ayurvedic treatments to the public. Panchakarma, known as bio-purification therapy, is a highly regarded Ayurvedic treatment that helps manage lifestyle disorders and joint-related ailments. The newly introduced hi-tech facilities will ensure effective treatment at an affordable cost, benefiting a larger section of society.

With stateof- the-art equipment integrated within the treatment rooms, patients can now receive specialised Panchakarma therapy in a wellequipped, high-quality setting.
