City IT firm invites innovators, entrepreneurs to develop 5G solutions

Participants will be provided with mentorship in industry and technology, besides access to 5G R&D labs

Bengaluru: The IIIT B.COM ET Foundation, formed by the International Institute of Information Technology Bangalore (IIITB), is inviting innovators and entrepreneurs to devise and build indigenous solutions for development of the 5 G infrastructure and applications.

The “COMET 5G Springboard 1.0” is a supportive platform for innovators in the development space to come up with ideas and operations in enhancing the next generation 5 G applications that seeks to create an ecosystem of the future and drive the Industry 4.0 era.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Milind Gandhe, CEO, IIITB COMET Foundation said,'' With a progressive approach to 5G, India will be able to tackle and unblock economic opportunities to the tune of USD $180 Billion according to NASSCOM.

This can be beneficial for entrepreneurs and will invite action towards envisioning and formulating new India specific solutions.” He further added that the CMET 5G Springboard is a platform offering a chance to build innovative solutions in the space of ‘Atma Nirbhar’ 5G infrastructure and applications.

Participants at the event will be provided with mentorship in industry and technology followed by access to 5G Research and development labs, Incubation support from PoC to prototype to product and adequate funding in the form of grants and seed money up to Rs 50 Lakhs.

The event is open to individuals who are working in innovative spaces, domains of 5G infra development, 5G applicants, deep tech solutions leveraging communications, AI/ML and AR/VR solutions leveraging 5G.
