Bengaluru: When a car broke down near Hebbal Circle, at around 2 am on Saturday, Deepa was forced to stop and change the tyre. As she did so, she and her family were harassed by an unidentified man for over two hours. The woman had taken her children to visit a relative’s home in Hosakote.

The unidentified man drove up in a car with the license plate DL 10 CG 5396. He spotted Deepa on the road kneeling beside her vehicle and pulled up, parking near her car. He began to misbehave with her and even began troubling her young daughter.

Deepa and her children simply ignored him. She managed to change the tyre and they drove off quickly. The man, however, refused to give up. He began to drive after them. The family called the police control room and reported the incident, with the man troubling them all the while. The Hoysala patrolling police came to their help near Goraguntepalya on Tumkur Road. When he spotted the police jeep, the man fled the spot.

It was a nightmare that lasted over two hours, coming to an end at around 4 am on Saturday. The family, who anticipated even more trouble, went to the RMC Yard police station and waited there until sunrise.
