Bengaluru: In a heartening incident, an USA based man has registered his car with the same Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) bus number that he used to travel as a child in the city.
The man in question, Adarsh Hegde, shared the details on Twitter and revealed that one man, Chengappa, made it happen as a tribute to the now-retired BMTC driver, Dhanapal Manchenahalli. In a video shared by Hegde, Chengappa praised Manchenahalli's honesty and dedication and recalled travelling with him on the 401B route in Bengaluru in 1992.
Chengappa said, “I have travelled with you many times. You have my respect for your honesty and dedication. The next generation will be thankful to you. You can see the number here – it is my respect for you and my love towards the BMTC. I travelled on the bus from Vidyaranyapura to Yeshwatpur when I was in school. Thank you and wish you a happy and healthy retired life. “Isn't this a beautiful story? Human relations is what ultimately matters in this Human World. This incident was shared by Shri Dhanapal himself. They are still in touch with each other,” Hegde tweeted.
The incident was shared by Manchenahalli, who was still in touch with Chengappa, showcasing the beauty of human relations in this world.
