Cadabam's Hospitals' walkathon rallies in fight against drug abuse

Bengaluru: Cadabam's Hospitals, a mental healthcare institution, concluded its Walkathon in support of the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking.

The event, titled "Educate, Don't Dictate," brought together a diverse group of participants committed to raising awareness and combating substance abuse.

Held in Bengaluru, the Walkathon garnered support from CRPF personnel, mental health professionals, students, community leaders, concerned citizens, and esteemed guests.

Participants congregated at Shalini Grounds in Jayanagar and embarked on a spirited march towards Cadabam's Hospitals in J P Nagar. The presence of C K Ramamurthy, a Member of the Legislative Assembly for Jayanagar, added weight to the event.

His support and active participation symbolised the collective determination to address drug abuse and foster a healthier, safer community.

Throughout the Walkathon, Cadabam's Hospitals emphasised the importance of adopting an inclusive and comprehensive approach to tackling substance abuse.

Their focus on education rather than dictation struck a chord with participants, who championed the messages of prevention, treatment, and support. The event witnessed an impressive turnout, with over 500 participants taking part in the walk.

Their enthusiasm and commitment were evident as they marched together, spreading awareness and promoting drug abuse prevention.
