Bengaluru: Cyber security is a growing concern for businesses and individuals alike. As the world becomes increasingly interconnected, so too does the threat to its digital infrastructure.
In recent years, a number of high-profile cyber-attacks have been noticed, including the WannaCry ransomware attack and the Equifax data breach.
To address these security issues in the age of artificial intelligence, a seminar on ‘Cyber Security – Potential of Artificial Intelligence’ was organised by BV Gopal Reddy, the president of FKCCI.
The seminar highlighted cyber-attacks and the need for robust cyber-security measures. Artificial intelligence (AI) is increasingly being seen as a key tool in the fight against cybercrime. It was explained that AI can be used to automate many of the tasks involved in cyber security, such as threat detection and analysis.
It can also be used to develop new and innovative ways to protect against cyber-attacks. Along with Chief Guest Dr MA Saleem, DIG, CID, GoK, several cyber-security experts attended the seminar on Friday.
Dr Uday Shankar Puranik, International Cyber Security Expert/Mentor, Atal Innovation Lab, Venkatesh Murthy K, Senior Director, Data Security Council of India, Floyd Britto, Director & CEO at FountainIQ, Manjesh Shetty, Consultant, Data Security Council of India, Ramesh Chandra Lahoti, Sr. Vice President, FKCCI, MG Balakrishna, Vice President, FKCCI Dr CAIS Prasad, Imm Past President, FKCCI, Rupa Rani, Chairperson, IT & BT Committee, FKCCI were present.
Dr MA Saleem shared his valuable insights on cyber security in Bengaluru and how far it has come in the past two decades.
He said, “Life is so much easier now with the digital world, but with the growth of the digital world, cybercrimes are also increasing.”
Dr Saleem also shared how it is easy for anyone to be vulnerable and fall victim to cybercrimes. Other speakers shared their valuable insights on key benefits of using AI in cyber security.
It can help identify and respond to threats more quickly than human analysts. AI can also be used to learn from past attacks, which can help to prevent future incidents.
AI cannot replace humans but assist them in every way possible to make them more efficient.
