Agree to bank loan to get housing, Zameer tells beneficiaries

Bengaluru, NT Bureau: Minister for Housing Zameer Ahmed on Friday said that potential beneficiaries under the Rajiv Gandhi Housing Corporation (RGHC) who are awaiting construction of homes in the Gadag-Betageri area would be allotted houses only if they agree to a bank loan.

He added that those beneficiaries who hadn’t agreed to a loan would be passed over for individuals who would agree to it.

The housing complex he was referring to in the GadagBetageri region is inclusive of 3,630 homes. He said that the first phase would see construction of 1,008 homes followed by another 2,622 in the second phase.

“If some beneficiaries do not agree to the bank loan, it has been decided that we will move on to other eligible beneficiaries,” Zameer said.
