Man dies after fatal assault by girlfriend

Bengaluru: A 24-year-old woman has been apprehended by the Hulimavu police for fatally attacking her live-in partner with a knife during an argument in the city.
The injured partner passed away while he was being taken to a nearby hospital, police said.
The incident occurred around 3:15 pm on Tuesday at an apartment in Akshayanagar, Bengaluru.
The police have identified the deceased as Javed, 29, a native of Kerala, while the arrested accused has been identified as Renuka, who hails from Belagavi district.
According to sources, the two had been in a romantic relationship for several months and were residing together in a flat within the apartment complex.
It has been revealed that Javed worked as a mobile phone repair technician. However, sources also added that over the past few days, the couple had been frequently engaged in quarrels, primarily related to a personal matter.
On Tuesday, their argument escalated into violence when Renuka reportedly grabbed a kitchen knife and assaulted Javed on his chest. The injured Javed succumbed to his injuries on the way to the hospital.
A case has been registered at the jurisdictional police station, and the woman has been taken in for questioning. Further details on the case are pending.
