How the two bureaucrats got sidelined

D Roopa, who had been the managing director of KSHDC started the row with a February 18 Facebook post showing Sindhuri, then the commissioner of the Muzrai Department, seated with IAS officer Manivannan and JD(S) MLA from Krishnarajanagara constituency SR Mahesh at a restaurant.

When Rohini Sindhuri was the Mysuru DC, Mahesh and the IAS officer had made several allegations against each other including corruption. Even as the image started doing the rounds, Roopa accused Sindhuri of being a part of the compromise between the two.

As a consequence of the row and ensuing media statements by the two officers, both Roopa and Sindhuri were transferred without charge and the former’s husband Munish Moudgil was transferred and posted as the principal secretary in the DPAR.
