Another officer gets additional charge

Bengaluru, NT Bureau: The State government on Thursday gave another IAS officer an additional charge as a part of the recent spate of postings.

Nagaraja NM, who is also the project director of the Karnataka State AIDS (Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome) Prevention Society, has been given the additional duty of the commissioner of the Food Safety and Standard Authority, Public Health Institute.

It remains to be seen if he will be relieved of the concurrent charge and someone else will take over as the project director of the AIDS prevention society.

It has been the modus operandi of the State government in the past.
