Bhagavan: MES followers must be sent out of state

Bengaluru: Progressive thinker and litterateur Prof K.S. Bhagavan said that the authorities should book those who burnt the Karnataka flag in Belagavi under sedition charges and demanded that the government shuld also ban MES. They should be sent out of the state, he said and added that a huge rally and convention would be held to urge the government to act in this regard.

Karnataka Hindulidavagargagala Jaagrutha vedike state head Mr K.S. Shivaram said, “It is time the ‘Asmithe’ (identity) of Kannada is protected. The government should conduct a big programme to protect Kannada but should not engage in vote bank politics,” he said.

Karnataka backward communities forum, Federation of dalit associations, District Kumbaras association, Upparas association, Madivalas association and Vishwakarma Mahamandala are holding a protest rally on December 24 to condemn the MES for burning the Karnataka flag and vandalizing Sangolli Rayanna’s statue.
