Bengaluru: A 52-year-old man from Nairobi, Mr. Jospeh N joroge Mungai, has made a recovery from chronic pancreatitis through Ayurveda.

After enduring nearly twenty emergency hospitalizations and a constant battle with this debilitating disease, Mr. Mungai's life has taken a remarkable turn for the better.

Mr. Mungai's journey through chronic pancreatitis began in 2014 when he was first diagnosed with Acute Pancreatitis. Over the years, he suffered numerous major attacks that severely impacted his physical and mental health.

Despite seeking medical assistance in Nairobi, the condition continued to worsen. As a last resort, Mr. Mungai and his wife, Mrs. Serah Njoroge (Carole), turned to Vaidya Balendu Prakash, a renowned Ayurvedic Physician and Padma Shree Awardee.

Vaidya Prakash had recently established his Clinical Research Unit in Bengaluru. Under his care and guidance Mr. Mungai's health took a turn for the better, said a press release.

Chronic pancreatitis is a progressive inflammatory disorder of the pancreas characterized by severe upper abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, uncontrolled blood sugar, and weight loss.

While the cause remains unclear, alcohol consumption is considered a primary factor. In modern medicine, there is no known cure for chronic pancreatitis.

Vaidya Balendu Prakash has dedicated his expertise to treating various forms of pancreatitis using Ayurvedic Treatment. This ancient practice involves the therapeutic use of processed mercury and metals to prevent and treat diseases.

The groundbreaking findings were presented at the 50th Joint Meeting of the American Pancreatic Association and Japan Pancreas Society in Hawaii, USA, in October-November 2019, said the release.
