NSS Day Event at BU

Bengaluru, NT Bureau: The NSS unit of Bangalore University in Association with state NSS and department of youth empowerment and sports, Government of Karnataka Bengaluru and department of Botany, BUB, organised one-day workshop on, "legal aid services via NSS" and also Plantation Programme to commemorate NSS day celebration on Monday (Oct. 9), at the Botany department of the Bangalore University campus.

The program was inaugurated by Prof. C. Srinivas registrar (Evaluation), Dr. Sunita M, Finance officer, Bangalore University. Dr. N. Satish Gowda, Associate Professor, University of law college, BUB, Prof. Sundar Raj Urs, Former Registrar, (Evaluation ), Bengaluru North University, Kolar and Prof. H. R. Raveesha, Programme Co-ordinator, Bangalore University Chairman, Dept. of Botany.

While addressing the gathering, Prof. C. Srinivas, highlighted the importance of every individual in keeping the environment clean and also recalled his childhood memories of village life.

Dr. Sunita, the guest of honour, expressed her experience as NSS volunteer and also appreciated the social responsibilities of NSS volunteers. Prof. Sundar Raja Urs, the speaker of the workshop advised all the volunteers for to make the environment protection as the lifetime task.
