
KSRTC to roll out over 2000 extra buses for Mysuru Dasara

Bengaluru: Mysuru Dasara is approaching, and the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) is all set to ensure travel for the people heading to Mysuru for this event.
For this year’s Dasara holidays, KSRTC has made preparations to operate extra buses, catering to the needs of travellers from across the state.
For Dasara, KSRTC is rolling out an extensive fleet of more than 2,000 extra buses to both intrastate and interstate destinations. From October 20 to October 26, these special buses will depart from Kempegowda Bus Station, Mysuru Road Bus Station, and Shanthinagar BMTC Bus Station.

KSRTC has planned routes to cater to popular tourist and pilgrimage destinations in Karnataka.
Special buses to visit Dharmastala, Kukkesubramanya, Sringeri, Horanadu, Shivamogga, Madikeri, Mangaluru, Davangere, Gokarna, Kollur, Hubballi, Dharwad, Belagavi, Vijayapura, Karwar, Ballari, Hosapete, Kalaburagi, Raichur, and other places within the state.
During Mysuru Dasara-2023, KSRTC will operate 600 special buses including 250 special buses from Mysuru Road Bus Station in Bengaluru to Mysuru and an additional 350 special buses from Mysuru to serve tourists exploring the surrounding attractions like Chamundi Hills, KRS Dam/Brindavan Gardens, Srirangapatna, Nanjanagud, and beyond. KSRTC is also launching the "Fly Bus" service, which offers air-conditioned, multi-axle buses from Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru, directly to Mysuru, ensuring convenience for air travellers. Passengers can book e-tickets through the KSRTC website (www.ksrtc.karnataka.gov.in) and the mobile booking platform.
