Siddu unveils statue of officer who championed horticulture

Mysuru, NT Bureau: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah unvei led the statue of former bureaucrat MH Marigowda , regarded widely as the father of modern horticulture in Karnataka, in Mysuru on Wednesday.

The statue was bronze and was unveiled at Curzon Park in the heart of Mysuru.

“Dr M H Ma rigowda, known as the father of horticulture , was the sculptor of the horticultural sector in Karnataka during his period. As a government official, he worked hard for the growth of the horticulture sector with loyalty and commitment,” Siddaramaiah said.
