Unidentified body with head injury in river, sparks murder investigation

Bengaluru: An unidentlified man's body was discovered floating in a river in Mugalur, Anekal taluk, on Thursday.
There is suspicion that the man was murdered elsewhere and his body was subsequently dumped in the river.
The police found bloodstains on a bridge across the river, and the body of the deceased indicated a head injury, likely inflicted by a sharp weapon. The body was located at the intersection of Sarjapur, Anugondanahalli, and Bagalur police jurisdictions.
As the victim's identity remains unknown, the police are reviewing all missing persons reports. Mallikarjun Baladindi, Bengaluru Rural SP, stated, "The body was discovered in Varthur Kodi within the Sarjapur police jurisdiction. The deceased appears to be aged between 25-30 years. Bloodstains were also detected on the bridge, suggesting that the body may have been thrown from it. A case has been registered, and an investigation is underway."
