
Cong tremors: Will continue as CM for 5 yrs, insists Siddu

Vijayanagara: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Thursday said that he would continue as the head of the Congress government in Karnataka for a full five-year term.
He made the comments during his official visit to Hospet town. When he was asked by mediapersons as to what he thought about his party MLAs and Cabinet colleagues commenting on power sharing, he said that such decisions were left to the high command.
When pressed about the issue, he said that he would continue as CM.
“Our government will stay for five years. I’m the chief minister now and I shall continue,” Siddaramaiah said.
Back in May, the Congress central leadership had decided on Siddaramaiah as the CM in keeping with the popular vote of the Congress Legislature Party (CLP).
However, this did not sit well with CM aspirant and Congress chief DK Shivakumar. DKS will not react When asked to react, Shivakumar said he would not speak about the issue in public.
