Bengaluru: In the aftermath of a tragic accident that befell Ashwini, a student with bright aspirations at Maharani Cluster University, financial challenges loom large as medical expenses surge, surpassing the family's means and the limited support from the university.
Despite initial assurances from the Vice-Chancellor of Maharani Cluster University promising the coverage of hospital expenses following the accident, the reality contrasts starkly.
The university provided a sum of 6 lakhs, a contribution likened to "breaking a stick," and then proceeded to instruct the family not to request further financial assistance.
In light of the university's withdrawal of support, Ashwini's medical costs have escalated, already reaching 12 lakhs. The severity of Ashwini's injuries, which necessitated a leg operation and the insertion of a rod, has left the family grappling with overwhelming financial burdens.
The emotional toll on Ashwini is profound, with the weight of the accident leaving her shattered and in tears. Adding to the distress, there has been a notable absence of any compassionate gesture from the college administration, further exacerbating the family's plight.
Compounded by the high cost of ongoing treatment and the doctor's advice for Ashwini to observe bed rest, the family faces an immense struggle to arrange the funds needed for the next phase of medical care.
With the 12 lakhs already expended on hospital bills, the family is in dire straits, unable to gather the resources necessary for continued treatment.
Amid these trying circumstances, the family looks to VV, urging the university to fulfill their commitment to support Ashwini during this distressing time.
