13 year-old hangs to death after parents advise him to attend school

Mysuru: Another distressing case of student suicide has emerged, as a 13-year-old boy tragically took his own life after his parents encouraged him to attend school in KR Nagar, Mysuru.
The victim, identified as Uday, was a seventh-grade student residing in Meenakshipura Layout. According to the local police, the incident occurred on Friday, November 3.
Uday's parents advised him to attend school after he expressed his reluctance to do so. Unfortunately, after they left for work, he used a karate belt to hang himself from the ceiling.
Uday's father, Guru, made the devastating discovery upon returning home. The KR Nagar Police has initiated an investigation into the matter, and the case is currently ongoing.
This tragic event marks the second student suicide within two days in Karnataka.
Previously on Thursday, November 2, a first-year student from the Electronics and Communication Department of Rajeev Institute of Technology in Hassan, Karnataka, took his life by jumping from the fourth floor of the college building.
