Bengaluru: Jonty Rhodes, the renowned South African cricketer and coach, analysed the nexus between fitness and sustainable healthcare during the 7th edition of The India Advantage Summit.
Held on November 21 and 22, the summit featured Sujith Nair, Co-Founder and CEO of the Foundation for Interoperability in Digital Economy, emphasising the significance of discussing interoperability in the context of hastening climate actions.
Rhodes said, “Fitness and sustainable healthcare are compatible, especially after pandemic. It is an Interesting environment for me to be in India at this Summit. I want to make a difference, I have learnt a lot during my tenure as fielding coach in India. We need small things to alter in our daily routine to keep us healthy & fit, heavy gym exercise might not necessarily make us fit, it’s the diet and nutrition which is important."
Addressing critical sustainability challenges and fostering partnerships were the primary goals of the summit. Despite notable global progress in environmental awareness, there existed an imperative to hasten the development of climate technologies for broad-scale implementation.
Jose Jacob, the Director and Curator, highlighted the summit's pivotal role in rekindling global dialogues on sustainable solutions. With over 60 speakers from 13 countries, the summit delved into topics ranging from Spacetech to Healthtech, to expedite global ransformations in sustainable development.
