Now, an art fair to raise awareness on air pollution
Bengaluru, NT Bureau: The Chitrakala Parishad on Tuesday saw an Art fair, just like it does everyday. However, what this ‘cartoon’ show sets apart from the others is the awareness it aims to foster on air pollution.
This fair, which was inaugurated by N V Prasad transport department secretary, comes in tandem with the Air Pollution month. Prasad pointed out that the increase in private vehicles has increased air pollution.
“The Shakthi Scheme rolled out by the government aims to curb that, along with offering free travel for women,” he said.
The fair which ends on December 1, will also feature a documentary film competition, and the best one will be awarded. More than 150 works of art by 46 artists are on display.
