Transport Minister unveils upgraded facilities and fleet at KSRTC

Bengaluru: On Wednesday, the Transport and Muzrai Minister Ramalinga Reddy inaugurated the upgraded KST Printing Press, Sports Complex, and flagged off 15 new Bolero Jeeps, marking developments within the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC).

As of now, the operational status of KSRTC has 16 divisions, 83 depots, 174 bus stands, and a network of 7,649 transport services.

The corporation manages a fleet of 8,355 buses, covering a daily distance of 26.93 lakh km.

The KSRTC has an initiative to establish a sports complex in Shantinagar to prioritise the health and stress relief of its staff. The complex, for Rs. 69.07 lakhs, includes wooden floors for playing fields, concrete flooring, roof repairs, and front portion development.

The KST Printing Press, operational since 1952, has undergone upgrades for Rs. 39.83 lakhs. Specialising in the printing of tickets, passes, and stationery items, the press plays a vital role in KSRTC's day-to-day operations.

To enhance operational efficiency and address various operational needs, KSRTC has introduced 15 new Bolero Jeeps.

These vehicles will contribute to accident relief, line checking, breakdown assistance, emergency response, and overall smooth operations in depots and divisions.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by. V. Anbukkumar, IAS., Managing Director, KSRTC, Dr. Nandeeni Devi IAS., Director (Personnel and Vigilance), with other staff.
