Labourer found dead

Bengaluru: In a shocking incident, local residents of Singanahalli found the body of a young man lying at a vacant site here on Tuesday morning.

Alerted, the jurisdictional Bagalur police reached the spot and carried out an inspection.

The police identified the deceased as Jitendra, 26, a construction labourer who hailed from Uttar Pradesh.

According to sources, the labourer used to work at an under construction building in Singanahalli and was allowed to stay at a shed in the same premises.

Preliminary probe revealed that the deceased was strangled by his attackers which resulted in his death. Efforts are on to identify the accused persons and nab them, the police said
