Father, 5-yearold daughter die in accident

Bengaluru: Two people including a five-year-old child died on the spot while a woman sustained severe injuries in an accident between two scooters on the flyover at Adakamaranahalli near Nelamangala on Tuesday.

The accident took place when a couple were travelling along with their daughter on a bike on the Nelamangala-Bengaluru National Highway early in the morning.

According to the traffic police, the accident occurred when they were returning to Bengaluru from Tumkuru district after celebrating Sankranti festival with their relatives.

The man and the child died on the spot while the woman suffered severe injuries and is currently being treated at the hospital.

The identities of the deceased were ascertained in the night as Amit, 32, and Anvita, 5, the police said.

It was also revealed that Amit was employed at a shop in Chamarajpet, Bengaluru, as a graphic designer. The Nelamangala traffic police have registered a case
