10th IIHM Young Chef Olympiad ignites culinary excellence: Global showcase at Bengaluru

Bengaluru: The 10th IIHM International Young Chef Olympiad (YCO) kicked off with 10 young chefs, representing different countries, showcasing their culinary prowess in Round 1 at the Bengaluru campus of the International Institute of Hotel Management (IIHM).

The competition featured Bulgaria, Sweden, Fiji, Kenya, Mexico, Mauritius, Nepal, Philippines, Turkey, and the UAE participants.

The culinary battle unfolded over 3.5 hours, incorporating skill tests, vegetarian dish preparation, and dessert crafting. International chefs, including Prof Dato Abdul Wahab Zamzani, Chef Shaun Leonard, Chef Enzo Oliveri, and Chef Anupam Gulati, comprised the judging panel.

The event aims to test culinary skills, creativity, and knowledge of different cuisines, culminating in the Grand Finale on February 4, 2024.
