Now, Bengaluru to have 'Tree Bathing'; mixed reactions received

Bengaluru, NT Bureau: The Garden City of Bengaluru witnessed unprecedented growth in the last decade.

From being dubbed a pensioner's capital, it is the IT Hub of the country with techies across the country coming here for employment.

However, with the corresponding decrease in forest cover, techies have encountered stressful situations.

In an attempt to reduce such stress, Trove Experience has started a 'Tree Bathing' in Cubbon Park, the city's lungspace.

Inspired by the Japanese's psychological exercise 'shinrin-yoku,' tree bathing aims to offer an antidote to burnout and inspire people to protect nature.

What didn't go well with netizens is the cost to take part in the tree bath - Rs. 1500.

They feel that this activity can be performed for free, and feel that people are being mugged off just to have a walk around Cubbon Park.

"If daily life is confined to just your homes and offices, Cubbon Park would definitely feel like a Jungle," said a user on X.
