Bengaluru, NT Bureau: In a bid to improve water management techniques to avoid supply crises, Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) is looking for international organisations for collaborations in sourcing latest technologies and for striking Bio- CNG partnerships after Deputy Chief Minister and Bengaluru Development Minister D K Shivakumar’s directive on Thursday.

At a meeting chaired by BWSSB Chairman Ram Prasath Manohar, with the United Nations Climate Change organisation, positive developments have emerged with the latter assuring support.

Potential partnerships for Bio CNG plants, and for procuring latest water management technologies were among the talking points.

With regard to the Cauvery Stage V drinking water project, work is almost complete, Manohar said, This comes amidst a water cut which started on Thursday, when residents faced a 12-hour shutdown. The shutdown is supposed to end on Friday afternoon.
